Stairs

We started the day with a drive to the Greenspoint area to find a tall building. It’s been raining for two days, leaving the outdoors a total mess. Alyson and I were hoping to slip into a high-rise unnoticed and climb some stairs.

We found success at the Hilton hotel, even though the building was only sixteen stories high. We were able to ascend and descend the building three times, with an additional three stories to finish 51-flight of stairs.

The stairs proved to be difficult for Alyson; at one time I could see a couple tears rolling down her face, but she never asked to quit and she pushed hard till the end. Once we were done her legs were trembling so bad it was almost comical. (No, I didn't laugh, I was in a bit of pain myself!)

Once we got home and had lunch, we took off on her bikes. We rode to River Grove Park and then finished my five mile loop. The greenbelts were nasty, leaving our bodies and our bikes wet and muddy.

Trail Bike:

After an exhausting morning we decided to knock out the daily push-ups and squats. We were both sore, but feel better now that they are done.

Push-ups: 49
Squats: 49

Breakfast: H-town
Snack: Egg-o-Licious
Lunch: Turkey Loaf

Dinner: Raj’s Tikka Masala
This spice was an interesting taste. It took a few bites to make a decision, but I like it. The chunks of chicken were bigger in this dish. I’m not sure if that is on purpose or by chance. I enjoyed the veggies which included, red bell peppers, zucchini, tomatoes, carrots, and mushrooms.

Last night I realized my shake is adding too many calories to my diet. I’m cutting half of the vanilla almond milk, shaving more than 90 calories.
