My scale weight is frustrating me. I’ve not lost
any significant weight this week. Something has to give if I want to see a 20-25
pound loss during the challenge.
Breakfast: Americano
Snack: Trail Mix
The deep chocolate chips were a delightful treat.
The packaging kept the snack fresh. It might take me a while to get use to unsalted
nuts. At 310 kcal it is a bit calorically high for a dieter such as me.
Lunch: BBQ Chicken
Dinner: Fit Nation Nuggets: 9
I enjoyed the nuggets and mustard sauce. The
broccoli was great. The carrots were large uncooked chunks, which was not to my
liking.
Alyson and I both woke up with extremely sore legs
after yesterday’s hard work out. The
Woodlands Half Marathon is only two weeks away, so we decided to go for a long
walk/run. The weather couldn’t have been any more perfect. The session started
out hard. The muscle soreness was tolerable after 3.5 miles, only to return at
six miles. We stayed true to our intervals and had a great workout…. Even though
we’re limping around the house like we’ve been shot.
Molly went with us too and I think we finally
broke her fear of cars. Our route went along Northpark, Kingwood Drive, and
West Lake Houston Parkway. She went crazy at first (as usual), but quickly
learned the cars were not going to harm her. I’m not sure where this fear came
from, but I’m glad it’s fleeting. Molly did very well and she seemed happy to
walk/run with us.
Run/walk:
9.07 miles
2:31:57
16:24 pace
We had enough time left in day to stop by
Performance Bikes and Academy. Unfortunately, I overlooked the daily push-ups and squats.
