I had a long, stressful night at the Fire
Department and ended up taking the day off work at MSC.
Today was the first Texas Trail Nerds NIGHT trail
run. We ran the three-miler outer loop of East End Park. The sky was pitch
black, the air was humid and the forest was alive with intrigue. We heard an
array of wildlife in the forest, but only saw a possum and a field rat.
The mileage clicked off fast and my legs felt
great for the duration of the run. I was inclined to run additional mileage,
but I needed to get some sleep before work tomorrow.
Run:
2.99 miles
38:08
12:45 pace
