When the kids are home our days are action packed and there’s hardly a minute to rest.
Shortly after waking up the kids and I ran along the bayou trail. By 8am the heat was already suffocating, yet the run went well despite the temperatures. I pushed Preston in the stroller and Alison lead Blazer on a leash. Alison wasn’t as enthused to run, so I gave her a shortcut option. Alison still ran nearly one-mile!
I FINALLY have part of my garage space back. With the addition of the new part-time job, I can’t imagine having much time for storage auctions. I offered Josh a reasonable value to “buy-out” my portions of the remaining goods. I wanted the crap out of my garage as soon as possible, so I personally delivered everything to his house this morning. I have every intention of cleaning and reorganizing my garage in the upcoming weeks.
I picked up the knee sleeve/brace that Dr. Muscat ordered yesterday. It’s not much different than those sold at Academy, but it is more comfortable while providing ample compression to my knee. The additional swelling from the steroid shot in my left knee is starting to reside. Hopefully I will see a reduction in the bursitis very soon.
Alison took her new kayak out for the first time, while Preston and I rode in my kayak. Within minutes she was paddling like a pro. Since it was our maiden voyage, we kept a tether between our two kayaks. We had a great time on the water and this will be a fun option for the family on hot summer days.
The kids and I finished the day with a trip to Half-Price Books and the Movie Tavern to see, “Zoo Keeper”. These activities may not seem like much, but we have been going 100 mph all day.
