Lidocaine Patch

Worked 10 hours at MSC

I woke up early to meet Erin in Humble so I could have breakfast with the kids. She was dropping her husband off at the airport and made the kind gesture. It was great seeing them, even if it was only for 30-minutes.

My back doesn’t feel any better, but I wanted to make an attempt at working today. I was having trouble walking, but then something weird happened. The more I tried to work the better my back felt. Also, one my co-workers suggested I try a “pain patch”. I was skeptical, but I was willing to try anything. The active ingredients were lidocaine, which shouldn’t impair me. As my luck would have it, I was moving lots of big heavy pipe. By lunch time most of my back pain was gone, although I lost the patch a couple hours after placing it on my lower back.

I was feeling better after work. I felt it was smart to rest my back, so that I could fully recover.
