Blazer's Surgery

Worked 4.5 hours at MSC

Randomness of my day; As soon as I was off duty at the fire station I rushed home to get Blazer. I needed to be in Conroe by 8:30am for her spayed surgery. MSC has several people on vacation, so they asked me to work, even if it was just a few hours. After dropping Blazer off at MCAS and changing clothes at home I went into work at MSC till 2:30pm. From there I drove back to Conroe to retrieve Blazer and finally back home.

I didn’t go running till 7pm. The sky was overcast and the air was still. The temperature was in the lower 90’s and the humidity felt close to 100%. Have you ever run inside a sauna? Well, that’s what it felt like. I can acclimate to the heat, but not the humidity.

Even though I’m bitching about the humidity, the run went well. I haven’t worn my knee brace since Tuesday. I didn’t want to push my luck, so I wore the brace while running. I’m happy to be running pain-free again.

Run:
2.20 miles
24:01
10:55 pace

Walk:
1.32 miles
21:55
16:36 pace
