I didn’t work at either job, but I was plenty busy!
First off and most importantly, the kids are home. We made a couple trips to the dealership; one to retrieve a key and check (for the custom install parts), then we went back again near the end of the day because my license plates and registration was ready. In between the two dealership visits we did a little school clothes shopping and a hour of cardio.
The kids and I cycled the five mile loop. It has been a long time since I’ve been on my bike and it almost seemed odd. I pulled the bike trailer with Preston in tow, while Alison followed closely on her bike. With one mile to go Alison was distracted looking at an apartment, resulting in a gnarly crash. She skinned her knee, elbow, and bruised her hip, but she is a tough trooper. She cried for about 30-seconds and then she got back on her bike. It was sad to see blood dripping down her leg (minimal) while she was cycling home.
After the bike ride I walked around the bayou while pushing Preston in the stroller. Alison skipped the run, although she hung out at the bayou so I could keep her in sight. I had a surprisingly fast pace today. The temperatures were in the upper 80’s, but I’d trade an 85 degree day with high humidity for a dry upper 90 degree day in a heartbeat.
Bike (trail bike with trailer):
5.16 miles
35:10
8.8 mph
Walk (Pushing stroller):
2.27 miles
36:14
15:58 pace
