Isn’t it funny how seeing a doctor makes everything better? He didn’t do anything other than x-ray my knee and foot and prescribe an anti-inflammatory. The diagnosis for my left knee was easy; it’s a simple case of bursitis. The pain associated with the bursitis should resolve within a couple weeks and requires no future medical intervention. As far as my right foot pain there is not any broken bones and most likely a severe case of tendonitis. My right knee continues to be a complex puzzle without any clear diagnosis. He said it is quit swollen and is unsure what is going on without a detailed MRI. Our medical action plan is to take one Mobic tablet daily. If the issues are not improving we will try steroid shots, and then move on to an MRI.
My kids have me wrapped around their little fingers. We visited the Montgomery County Animal Shelter and adopted a dog, which they cleverly decided to name… Blazer II. She’s larger than I wanted, but she is truly a “gentle giant”. She’s awful skinny for a dog that has been at the shelter for two-weeks and owner surrendered. The MCAS has so many animals (over 550 dogs). The pure number of dogs was sad and very animal shares a kennel with another dog. Blazer seems submissive and probably never got her fair share of food from the hyper black lab she was bunking with.
The kids, Blazer, and I walked the bayou loop. Cool breeze and great company. No pain or discomfort with the knee or foot. SCORE!!!

For the last thirteen days I’ve consumed an average of 1,963 kcals, burned an average of 3,985 kcals, and my average deficit has been 2,022 kcals. Tomorrow I’m rewarding my hard work with a free-meal of Mexican food! Usual parameters; one meal and no drinks with calories.
My downfall with Tex-Mex food is the chips and sausa. I can't control myself.....many calories are down the hatch even before the main dish arrives.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a speedy recovery on your foot and knee problems. Got to have them ready for hiking season.

MMMM, Tex Mex sounds awesome! But I also have a chips and salsa addiction (and a margarita here and there can be bad too)!
