I found a reputable auto mechanic to fix my transmission problem for a mere $20.00. Thank goodness it wasn't a $400 mistake like the dealership quoted me.
With the money saved, I treated myself to a haircut (from a real barber). That sounds funny typing it, but I usually cut my own hair or the guys at the fire station cut it for me. I went with an Old School "High & Tight".
I rode my bike to HEB for groceries. It must have been quite a sight to see me on the return trip home. I bought more groceries than two pannier bags would hold, so I had bags strapped all over the back of my bike. Once I unloaded the groceries I went out for another short ride.

Had to take a drug test for Moore Supply Company. Even though MSC hasn't made an official job offer, it looks like I have a new part-time job!!!
During the heat of the day I stayed inside and made a large batch of homemade salsa and canned 13-pints. There’s never a recipe, but this time I combined three different peppers; Habanero, Jalapeno, and Serrano. The homegrown tomatoes give the salsa a naturally sweet taste, but needless to say, the salsa has a nice “bite” to it. The sweet 10/15 onion, cilantro, cumin and various spices all balanced out to make a great salsa.
I went for a one-hour walk with a small three minute run. Near the end of the session, I had significant knee pain to the medial side of my patella. I’ve developed a habit of walking on the greenbelts and need to get back on the trails. Concrete Kills!!!

I’ve been hungry all day. There’s internal conflict within. Hopefully I survive the night…
I wonder if there's a way to walk on the golf course in the evening if it's not locked up. Walking the fairways would be so much easier on the feet and knees. The undulations would add interest and variety to your walk. I don't know if this is possible or not. Just a thought.

Just to add another thought about the golf course walking. I was thinking the timing would be at twilight as golfers were heading home but with still enough light to see. One wouldn't want to put the old noggin at risk of bombardment. I guess the cart path is an option also but asphalt is only slightly more forgiving on the joints than concrete.
