Today is the first full day of summer, although we've been at the mercy of the heat for nearly two months. I took Blazer for a short walk then spent several hours working in the yard. Near the end my blood sugar must have dropped, because I was struggling to finish.
After a big meal and lots of rest I was ready to tackle the remaining cardio. Everything clicked this evening and I felt like a new man. No pain whatsoever. My walk pace for 2.7 miles was 16:29!!! The short six-minute run went exceptionally well too. I’m starting to feel like my old self; even my running pace was quicker than prior runs. It’s great to see performance improvements AND weight loss. Gotta love positive progress. Needless to say, I’m feeling pretty damn good right now!
