Preston's birthday pool Rumpus!

Preston’s pool birthday party was a huge hit and fun was had by all. His mid-June birthday will always be a hot occasion, making the pool one of the few options. I’m very appreciative of the friends and family that were able to attend.

We were only gone for a couple hours, so we locked Blazer in the master bathroom. This was necessary, because she continues to escape from the outdoor kennel (an entirely different story). In that short time Blazer was able to destroy the bathroom. Damage included; broken vase & other décor, shredded toilet paper and bath towel, chewed the baseboards, marred the door, and pulled the shower curtain down. This dog is so mellow, but she will NOT allow you to confine her.

I walked the bayou trail this evening. There was a light knee discomfort, probably a water issue. I can recognize certain problems, like this one. I took Blazer with me. She’s perfect on the leash when walking, but she prefers to be behind me when running, which fouls my natural arm swing. I was able to maintain a speedy walk pace.

Run:
0.36 mile
4:06
11:23 pace

Walk:
5.12 miles
1:27:08
17:01 pace

I liberally logged yesterdays “free-meal” and I was still able to keep the day at a “zero”, although the scale proved otherwise. The meal was a tasty treat, but I’ve been more enticed to “cheat” ever since that meal.
