Worked 10.5 hours at MSC today
The day started on a slightly downward note. I haven’t weighed myself in two days and was expecting to see a good weight loss number on the scale. I gained one-pound since the last time I weighed. Needless to say, I wasn’t expecting that.
It was another busy day at MSC.
This morning I stopped and picked up a couple chicken & biscuit sandwiches at Chick-Fil-A before going into work. This turned out to be a HUGE mistake. My jaw hit the floor once I got home and looked up the calories; those two small sandwiches weigh in at nearly 860 kcals!!! To add insult to injury a customer offered me a soda out of a machine. Once I said yes, he told me he did not know how to load the machine and the beverage would be a mystery flavor. I was hoping for a diet soda, but sure enough, it shot out an orange Sunkist at a whopping 260 kcals. At the time I didn’t know how bad the chicken biscuits were, so I indulged in the soda.
Once I entered my intake for the day I realized I had exceeded my daily calories, which meant no dinner for me.
Typical of a busy day, I burned a ton of calories at work. Once I got home I ran one-mile and walked two-miles. It’s getting easier to walk a sub-17 minute per mile pace.
The run was absolutely perfect. No aches or pains. Blazer stayed beside me flawlessly, which kept my stride nice & smooth. Even the pace was speedier than usual. Just before running I had “dirt thrown in my face”, figuratively. The run did its magic to me and I’m back on top of the world again. There is nothing better than running when everything goes right.
Run:
1.11 miles
12:01
10:50 pace
Walk:
2.2 miles
36:50
16:45 pace
