I woke up early with the intention of changing the oil in my truck before it got too hot outside. I’ve changed the oil in my Tacoma dozens of times before, but today I made a huge mistake. I wasn’t paying attention and mistakenly took the transmission drain plug out, which is a few inches away from the oil pan plug. I noticed the error within 10-seconds, so not much fluid was lost. The problem got worse when I realized the truck as a “sealed” transmission, which requires a special machine and a computer to program when replacing fluid. The dealership quoted me almost $400 for the job, but I found a transmission shop that will fix my problem for ~$100.
This afternoon I finally received my BodyBugg SP. It is amazing how far technology has come. Thankfully the unit has finally come down in price after debuting several years ago. I’m not putting 100% faith in this unit, but the research shows it to be 92% accurate. I’ll write a review after I’ve had a chance to utilize the BB SP.
Later in the evening I enjoyed a weekly “free-meal” at Los Cucos, followed by a movie. We saw “The Hangover II” at Starplex. The movie was funny, but I was somewhat disappointed. The previews gave away the best scenes and the element of surprise was gone.
I went for a walk a few minutes before midnight, while waiting for laundry to finish. It was a steamy walk through Trailwood.
Walk:
2.13 miles
37:43
17:44 pace
