This morning I rode my trail bike around Kingwood at a significantly harder pace than yesterdays ride. It appears the calorie expenditure is slightly less than walking, which surprises me.
Tail Bike:
9.2 miles

Nearly a year ago I purchased a package of massages. I still had one left, so I treated myself to a leisure massage, with emphasis on my legs and back. The masseuse did a great job, but did not resolve my knee issues. In fact, I kept falling asleep!
I went to my second interview with Moore Supply Company. In reality, it wasn’t an interview at all, but rather they had me completing “new hire” paperwork. They still haven’t made me a job offer, but I think this is a really good sign.
After leaving MSC, I enjoyed a leisure walk on Lake Village Dr. The temperature dropped more than 25 degrees in less than one-hour after a much needed rain storm. I ran for two-minutes, just to see how many calories I burn while running. So far the numbers look like this:
Walk: 8.3 kcal/min
Trail bike: 6.5 kcal/min
Running: 12.1 kcal/min
Working out: 8.0 kcal/min
Walk:
2.93 miles
51:06
17:27 pace
Run:
0.18 mile
2:01
11:12 pace
Workout: Engine 2 beginner w/o
I haven’t been able to reach my burn today, which meant I had to go back out for another bike ride. I rode up and down most of the roads in Trailwood Village. During the ride I saw a MASSIVE frog. He was easily the size of a cantalope. I couldn’t resist stopping and looking at him, plus I wanted to move him out of the roadway. He was too big to grab with one hand, because every time I got within a couple inches we would swell up with air. That must be one of his defensive mechanisms. He finally moved on his own. Each leap was nealry 15-18 feet. I took a picture, but it doesn’t do justice for his size.
Trail Bike:
9.88 miles
57:00
10.4 mph
I posted a picture of Alison and her best friend. They were fishing at a pond near Erin's house and walked up with this LUNKER. I would have paid anything to see those two girls trying to get that big ass fish to the shore!
My blog is 75% fitness related, but from time-to-time I blurt out comments about my personal life. This is a public blog, so I tend to keep names anonymous… especially when talking about people at work. I find it therapeutic to speak my mind, even if my blog readers have no idea what I’m talking about. With that being said, I need to address the following words to an old friend;
Never has someone treated me as poorly as you. I want nothing more than to erase the memory of our time together, so that I can move forward with my pursuit of happiness. You can continue to “spin” every topic and construct excuses for the way you treat me, but I won’t be there to listen anymore. I’ve allowed you to slaughter my soul long enough.
I hope that you don't view my comments as those of a troll. If I don't have anything good to say, then it goes unsaid. I agree that life is too short to be around a negative person. But sometimes you just can't get away from them like at work. Keep your chin up.
