My average walk pace has improved by 45-seconds/per mile in a measly two-weeks. Blazer and I walked five miles along the bayou this morning. I didn’t eat breakfast and around the third mile I was lacking energy. My limit to cardio without breakfast is less than 30 minutes.
I spent most of the day dealing with Blazer’s kennel. Hopefully everything is secure enough to prevent her from escaping when I go to work Wednesday.
The total daily burn seemed low, so Blazer and I went for a second walk. With the evening breezes, the temperatures have been pleasant once the sun sets behind the tree line.
Walk:
7.6 miles
2:11:49
17:21 pace
I’m embedding a wonderfully produced documentary of Geoff Roes. I've always thought he was a cool guy and now I know he is truly a free-spirited soul. Watch till the end for a hilarious surprise!!
I'm glad you posted that video, Bill. Two important points that I took away from it where: embrace the "carpe diem" spirit in whatever you undertake. Also he mentioned the concept of being able to manage the low spots in a competition. Actually, this "mental toughness" can apply to the grander scheme of one's life. All good points. Thanks.
