Late last night my stomach was upset, eventually resulting is nausea, vomiting, and a low-grade fever. I was restless most of the night, but the fever and vomiting subsided after a couple hours.
Today has been par for the last couple days. 1-10 score grading;
Back pain, 4
Headache/congestion, 6
Cough, 8
I went for a walk mid-day. It was unseasonably warm (72-ish). Houston weather is so chaotic; weather forecast is reporting a high of 37 in two days. Walk was otherwise uneventful.
Walk:
2.36 miles
38:54
16:29 pace
I mustered up enough energy to attend the Woodlands Marathon kick-off party. The online invitation suggested everyone bring five can goods for a chance to win an entry into the 2012 race. As Andrea and I turned in our can goods, we noticed very few people had brought any food. The low numbers turned out GREAT for me, because I won a race entry. That’s the second entry in a month. Before winning I registered for the full marathon and was probably one of the first 10 people. I’m curious to see what my number will be. Now I need some luck to get healthy and start training!
I enjoyed spending time with friends Jon, Leanne, and Karen. Even though we aren’t friends, I meet Ryan and Sarah Hall. I was a bit star struck and didn’t know what to say other than, “Nice to meet you”.
Great picture, Bill! Get better soon cause you've got some training to do for these prizes you keep winning!
ReplyDeleteLOL... just thinking about that whole "not going to register too far in advance" chat we had! Only to find out you had registered for The Woodlands Marathon!
And I chuckled all night about your take on my actions toward that burger after OT 50! Fun to hear it from another person's perspective.
We will be cheering Alison on Friday! Go girl, go!!!
