When you see a mountain, do you want to conquer it? I do. Last night I was surfing around the web, looking at the stunning mountain ranges surrounding Boulder, CO and Colorado Springs, CO. All I could think about was the thrill of climbing to the top of those amazing peaks.
Since reading THRIVE by Brendan Brazier, I decided to start drinking smoothies for breakfast. I started this regimen about a week ago. During that time I've been experimenting with different fruits, vegetables, and nut milk. The first thing I learned was to keep it simple. Too many ingredients equates to weird taste and high calories. This morning I was shocked when pineapple (My favorite fruit), did not taste good in vanilla Chai Vega. It’s been one-hour and I'm still trying to finish the rest of this slurry...
Rode my trail bike around Kingwood. My posterior remains sore, which made for an uncomfortable ride. The beautiful weather made up for the discomfort.

Cleaned my home gym, which is my garage. I made it cleaner and spacious to start weight training again.

Andrea and I completed a walk/run session on the five mile greenbelt loop. We ran 0.25 mile of each mile. I need to study today’s intake, because something went wrong. I was feeling lethargic before the run. Two miles into the loop and I was fatigued and I felt famished. If I would have closed my eyes, I'm sure I could have falling asleep while walking. It was a weird feeling and I didn't like it one bit. It's similar to the end of a long run.

Starting the new year out right! Love it!
