Yesterday I thought a lot about my weight and how I plan to manage the highs and lows. Then I started looking at the people around me. The guys at work that are "always" healthy are the same guys that ALWAYS workout and ALWAYS eat right. My lack of consistency is one of the leading issues with my weight.
It is a rare occurrence, but yesterday I actually had a great night of sleep at work. I woke up rested and in a really good mood. I'm sure the weather helped, because I love cooler weather. The overnight low was 24!
I rode my trail bike this afternoon. My legs were aching and I’m not sure why. I cut the bike ride short because I don’t have much cold weather cycling gear. After the bike ride I walked one mile along the bayou then lifted weights. I was able to maintain a brisk pace on the walk.
It is a small price to pay, but my lats are extremely sore from the extra push-ups I did yesterday.
Moving the smoothie to the evening worked yesterday and so far its working tonight as well. I need a couple weeks of positive results to confirm these findings.
Tonights flavor was; Double pineapple and vanilla chai.
1 scoop vanilla chai Vega
1.5 cups pineapple (two servings)
1 cup vanilla almond milk
1 cup cold filtered water
2 tbsp Splenda
I enjoyed the taste. The last time I used pineapple the taste was very subtle and I found the texture of the pineapple odd. To combat this I doubled the serving size of pineapple and let the blender mix for a full minute. Great smoothie, but I wish the color would turn the same as the fruit. The hemp seed protein turns most of the smoothies green. Tonight the smoothie looked exactly like pea soup.
