Hard to imagine my first 100-mile race is less than 100 days away. Pain or not, I start running tomorrow!
With a couple days free of pain and minimal swelling I thought my knee issues were behind me. Unfortunately, I’ve been struck with sharp pain under my patella for most of the day.
I spent the better part of the afternoon redesigning my running schedule. Recently I read about an ultra runner that works off a ten-day week, rather than the traditional seven-day week. The schedule is based around the long run and alternating easy/hard days. With a little luck my knee will allow me to follow the new schedule.
I'd be happy to share the new schedule with anyone willing to look it over and give me their 2-cents.
